Cicada Circus Arts aims to teach aerial skills to a high level. Aerial is a beautiful and breathtaking art form. We want to get people to feel both strong and amazing.
Taking inspiration from the way professional performers train you’ll build strength, but in a fun and functional way. All with the aim of moving with freedom and grace.
Cicada Circus Arts was founded by Samara, a professional aerial performer since 2011, who performs silks, hoop, single point trapeze, handstands and contortion.
She started classes in Victoria Works in Neepsend in 2018 and taught there until its redevelopment in 2021. Classes restarted in April 2022 also in Neepsend
Samara is a passionate and technical aerialist and a true aerial geek. She loves creating movement sequences and getting students strong enough to learn more advanced moves. This is with the ultimate aim of experiencing the joy of creating their own movement style in the air.
She has also trained in aerial rigging, first aid and is DBS checked.
